Sunday
Another enjoyable walk in Highbury Park. It’s hard to believe that it is only two weeks since our first ‘perfect walk’ there (November 16th) and that it wasn’t until the following Tuesday that Isis and I began to walk calmly each day in Kings Heath Park.
It is only this week that we have been able to negotiate walking all of the way round KHP with our friends. This has been brilliant. I have really missed my park friends over the last five months. It has been a great pleasure to converse with them again.
And Isis is gradually getting to know them – humans and canines. She recognises Joh. and Gr. and stands by them hoping for a gravy bone or, even better, a liver sizzler. This week Be. has been allowed to stroke Hairy One’s back after giving her a treat.
Best of all Isis and I are are sharing our park pleasure and I know that she is having enough exercise and stimulation.
With two good walks every day Friday to Saturday and one very long one on Sunday, routines are becoming better established. To prove it Isis has just woken up and reminded me that it’s only four minutes to teatime.
Teatime? That’s another story………….
Isis came from the Aeza cat and dog rescue and adoption centre in Aljezur, Portugal. For information about adopting an animal from the centre, contact kerry@aeza.org or www.dogwatchuk.com
