Wednesday
A strange day in the park. The sun is not out so there are no shadows. Ideal for Isis one would think.
But not so. She is very jumpy, looking upwards and recoiling from trees and bushes.
She approaches these scary objects with extreme caution, and sniffs them thoroughly. Whatever her nose tells her seems to reassure her and she walks on – until she reaches the next one. Then the anxious examination begins all over again.
It takes her about half an hour before she begins to relax. Even then particularly menacing trees are approached very gingerly.
I note that the sky is a bright silvery white/grey as though it might snow at any minute and wonder if the light makes the trees stand out and seem very different.
Hmmmm.
Isis came from the Aeza cat and dog rescue and adoption centre in Aljezur, Portugal. For information about adopting an animal from the centre, contact kerry@aeza.org or www.dogwatchuk.com
Your certainly on the same wave length. Jan
