Isis has good taste. This is the handsome Sharu, one of the very few dogs she deigns to acknowledge. This morning we come across him with his person in the wooded area. He can be very bouncy but he greets Isis gently before withdrawing a couple of paces. Then, wonder of wonders, Isis walks up to him and carefully sniffs his nose.
Most of her eighty minutes in the park she spends running very fast on the end of her long lead. Again, dog walker friends are delighted to see her enjoying herself so much. “It’s lovely that she feels safe to run”, comments M. I hadn’t thought about that, but yes it is. Before I adopted Isis, Kerry told me that she was a very brave little dog. She absolutely is.
I can scarcely believe the energy that this little animal has. When we return home she can’t wait to get back outside. Now she is bouncing round the garden, full of the joys.
Isis came from the Aeza cat and dog rescue and adoption centre in Aljezur, Portugal. For information about adopting an animal from the centre, contact kerry@aeza.org or www.dogwatchuk.com
Well Justin, thank you for liking ‘running, running’. Since you are a serious runner, I’m glad that you weren’t irritated to find that the post was about a dog! Running is certainly good for her health. I’m having a look at your blog.
