Thank you Amber, that’s very thoughtful. It’s not good news. Friend had a serious stroke and has no feeling in her left side. She left the acute ward last Friday and is now on a rehab. ward, so we hope for the best possible outcome. As you will see, her little cat has come back with me from Wales and will be staying into the indefinite future. (Don’t tell Isis the last bit!)
So sorry to hear this news. My 60-ish neighbor had a stroke last year. Fortunately, neither his speech nor his facial appearance was affected, but he needed a cane to help him walk for a while, and now has a permanent limp. What a dreadful thing 😦 Little cat is cute, though! Looks a LOT like my Lucy 🙂
Ah. I thought that your little Lucy, who walked into your life uninvited, would still be with you! I hope that my friend does as well as your neighbour. At present she has no sensation in her left side. She can, thank goodness, speak and her facial muscles are only slightly affected. She has a very long way to go, though. Sadly, she had been waiting for a long time for a cardiology appointment. Had it come sooner, the heart condition which caused the stroke would have been detected and treated.
Hope you are OK, and Isis is OK xxxxxx
